Ferrari + Logic3 = Stylish New Headphones

Posted on 09 January 2012 by Adam Kaslikowski

I’m going to make a strong claim here: Ferrari is no longer an Automotive company, Ferrari is now a branding company. Much the same way the Disney hardly makes movies anymore, yet produces literally tons and tons of branded goods every day, Ferrari has gone beyond simply paying for their racing by selling jackets and shoes to focusing a majority of their business time on slapping the prancing horse on every product imaginable. The admittedly beautiful headphones above are the latest example of this new corporate direction.

A collaboration between Ferrari and British electronic accessory maker Logic3, this new line is split between Scuderia and Cavallino products. The Cavallino collection is said to be  “influenced by the emotive driving experience of Ferrari’s iconic GT road cars.  Premium textures and materials combine with superior finishes to create unparalleled luxury and beautiful aesthetics.” So, those are the nice ones then…

The Scuderia line takes its inspiration from Ferrari’s racing and engineering expertise. These are much sportier in appearance, and also come in the more characteristic silver and red paint schemes. Both lines are available for pre-order now here, and will officially launch in April of this year. Expect to shell out from $125 – $375 for earphones, and between $500 and $750 for an iPhone docking station.

We’ll be seeing these headphones and docks up close later this week at the CES show and will give you are firsthand impressions then. In the meantime, look through the gallery below if you feel the need to brand your ears.
