Porsche Club of America invades Miller Motorsports Park

Posted on 09 June 2012 by Adam Kaslikowski

Porsche is winning-est car manufacturer of all time. But as eye-grabbing as that fact is, it must be said that Porsche’s are also one of the most popular choices for amateur racers who participate in amateur track days. Case in point: The Porsche Club of America’s Intermountain region invaded Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park last weekend to give it’s members a chance to stretch the legs of their prized possessions. We headed down to the track to catch the action and chat with the drivers/owners/rich-guys. The day was hot, the hours long, but everyone had fun and no major offs were recorded. While the majority of attendees were 80’s 911s from Utah or Colorado, we saw plates from as far away as Alberta and such hardware as GT2s  a Boxster Spider, and even a GT3 Cup. Whichever tuned monster 911 won the event, you can be sure Porsche chalked it up in their win column.
